About Us

A Code Purple Shelter is not a traditional shelter, it gives emergency shelter to aid the homeless on the cold winter nights.

Code Purple is open when the temps fall below 32 degrees before Dec. 15th and after March 15th.
Dec. 15th through March 15th we are open regardless of temperatures.

Please call the Code Purple Hotline at 302-519-0024 to make arrangements to stay at one of our shelters or if you have any questions for us.

Mission: Our mission is to offer shelter to those with no home by utilizing the local churches, their sanctuaries, time, talent, and support to save lives during cold weather in Sussex County and to offer hope for a future to our struggling neighbors.
