Mobile Crisis Intervention is the state’s crisis resource for folks in the community experiencing crisis – psychiatric, substance use or otherwise.
They run a 24 hour/365 day crisis hotline for folks to not only speak to a trained professional but to be connected with resources in the community that may be helpful for their long-term crisis management or recovery. In addition to the hotline, face to face interventions and access to psychiatric services are also available. Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Serves all of Sussex County and Kent County south of greater Smyrna.

We provide housing and three daily meals for up to 12 adults for a maximum of 30 days. A case manager works with each resident to obtain income and locate affordable housing opportunities. We also help with medications, laundry, clothing, and transportation.
The Food Cooperative helps families and individuals stretch their limited incomes by providing a supplemental bag of groceries, nutrition and budgeting information once every month. With the help of the Food Bank of Delaware, club members receive nutritious, meal-ready products for a fraction of retail value.
Emergency Food Pantry
Staffed by volunteers and stocked with donated food and USDA commodities, the pantry provides three to four days of food for persons who are in crisis and cannot buy food. Persons can pick up food bags at Casa weekdays from 9am – 3pm.

Salvation Army provides crisis counseling and financial assistance including food, rental assistance, utility assistance, and referrals for clothing and temporary housing (motel placement). Salvation Army participates in “Operation Share” in conjunction with the Delaware Electric Cooperative. Operation Share offers electric bill assistance for Delaware residents who have received disconnection notice. Every effort is made to work cooperatively with referring agencies.
